Stavros Papastavrou

Stavros Papastavrou is a Greek politician currently serving as the Minister for the Environment and Energy. A lawyer by training, he graduated from the University of Athens and completed graduate studies at Harvard University. Throughout his career, he has held significant roles within the New Democracy party, including International Secretary, and served as Deputy Chief of Staff for European and International Affairs under Prime Minister Antonis Samaras. In 2023, he was appointed Minister of State, where he focused on investment coordination and disability rights, before assuming his current ministerial position in March 2025.
