Stefan Schard is a German politician and lawyer who has served as a member of the Landtag of Thuringia since 2019. Born in 1974 in Erfurt and raised in Greußen, he studied law at the University of Jena. Before entering state politics, he worked as a civil servant in the Sondershausen municipal administration, where he served as the head of the main office from 2009 to 2019. Representing the Christian Democratic Union (CDU), he successfully won the direct mandate for the Kyffhäuserkreis I – Eichsfeld III constituency in the 2019 state election and was re-elected in 2024. He currently resides in Sondershausen with his family.
