Born in Modena in 1967, he began his administrative career in the 1990s, serving as the mayor of Nonantola from 1995 to 2004 and as an assessor for the Province of Modena. A long-time member of the Democratic Party, he previously served as a senator during the 17th legislature and has held various leadership roles within his party, including national organizational responsibilities. Vaccari is also known for his advocacy for the Sahrawi people and his work as president of the Villa Emma Foundation, which preserves the history of Jewish children saved during the Holocaust.
