Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu

Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu is an Indian politician currently serving as the 7th Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh since December 2022. A long-time member of the Indian National Congress, he has represented the Nadaun assembly constituency as a four-time MLA. His political career began in student activism with the National Student Union of India, followed by service as a municipal councillor in Shimla and leadership roles within the Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee. As Chief Minister, he has prioritized social welfare initiatives, including the restoration of the old pension scheme for government employees.
