Sunil Bahadur Thapa is a Nepali politician currently serving as a member of the National Assembly of Nepal and as a nominated Joint-General Secretary of the Nepali Congress. The son of former Prime Minister Surya Bahadur Thapa, he previously worked for the UNHCR for over two decades before entering politics in 2012. He has held several ministerial positions, including Minister of Commerce and Supplies and Minister of Industry, and was formerly a prominent member of the Rashtriya Prajatantra Party before joining the Nepali Congress in 2020.
