Tarik Khan is an American politician and nurse practitioner serving as a member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 194th District since 2023. A member of the Democratic Party, he is the first Pakistani-American and the first advanced practice nurse elected to the Pennsylvania legislature. Before entering politics, Khan worked extensively in healthcare, gaining national recognition for his efforts to vaccinate homebound residents during the COVID-19 pandemic. A progressive advocate, he supports policies such as Medicare-for-all, the Green New Deal, and the expansion of abortion access, while actively opposing the use of deepfakes in political campaigns.
