Tim Crakanthorp is an Australian politician who has served as the Labor member for Newcastle in the New South Wales Legislative Assembly since 2014. Before entering state parliament, he served as a councillor on the Newcastle City Council for eight years. He previously held ministerial positions in the Minns ministry, including Minister for Skills, TAFE and Tertiary Education and Minister for the Hunter, before stepping down in 2023. An investigation by the Independent Commission Against Corruption into his conduct concluded in 2024 with no findings of corrupt conduct.
