Tim Knopp is an American politician and businessman who served in both houses of the Oregon Legislative Assembly. He was a member of the Oregon House of Representatives from 1999 to 2005, serving as majority leader, and later served in the Oregon State Senate from 2013 to 2025, where he held the position of minority leader. A member of the Republican Party, Knopp is known for his conservative stances on social issues, his opposition to climate change legislation, and his efforts to reform the state's public employee pension system. Following his participation in the 2023 Oregon Senate walkout, he was barred from seeking re-election under Measure 113 and left office in January 2025. He currently serves as the Oregon co-chair of U.S. Term Limits.
