Previously, Emmer served three terms in the Minnesota House of Representatives and was the 2010 Republican nominee for Governor of Minnesota. Throughout his congressional career, he has been a prominent advocate for the cryptocurrency industry and served as chair of the National Republican Congressional Committee from 2019 to 2023.
