Tom Emmer is an American politician and attorney serving as the Majority Whip in the United States House of Representatives since 2023. A member of the Republican Party, he has represented Minnesota's 6th congressional district since 2015. Previously, Emmer served three terms in the Minnesota House of Representatives and was the 2010 Republican nominee for Governor of Minnesota. Throughout his congressional career, he has been a prominent advocate for the cryptocurrency industry and served as chair of the National Republican Congressional Committee from 2019 to 2023.
