Tomáš Opatrný

Tomáš Opatrný is a Czech physicist and academic who served as the Vice-Rector for Information Technology, Science Evaluation, and Sustainability at Palacký University Olomouc from 2021 to 2022. A professor of general and mathematical physics, he has held numerous leadership roles in academia, including head of the Department of Theoretical Physics and chair of the Faculty of Science Academic Senate. His research focuses on quantum physics, informatics, and optics. Opatrný has been a candidate for the position of Rector of Palacký University on multiple occasions.
