Tomás Guanipa

Tomás Guanipa is a Venezuelan politician currently serving as a member of the National Assembly. A founding member of the Primero Justicia party, he previously served as a deputy in the National Assembly from 2011 to 2020 and acted as the Venezuelan ambassador to Colombia for the interim government of Juan Guaidó between 2020 and 2021. Throughout his career, he has been a prominent figure in the opposition, including a 2021 candidacy for the mayoralty of Caracas. In 2025, he joined the party A New Time and was elected to the National Assembly, marking a shift from the abstentionist stance held by other opposition factions.
