Trey Kelley is an American politician and lawyer serving as a member of the Georgia House of Representatives for District 16. First elected in 2012 after defeating a Democratic incumbent, he has represented parts of Bartow, Haralson, and Polk counties. Kelley previously served as the Republican Majority Whip until 2021. Throughout his tenure, he has held various committee assignments, including roles on the Appropriations, Judiciary, and Ways and Means committees. In 2020, he faced legal scrutiny regarding a fatal hit-and-run incident, but the charges against him were dismissed by a judge in 2021.
