V. Somanna

V. Somanna is an Indian politician currently serving as a Member of the Lok Sabha representing the Tumkur constituency and as a Union Minister of State in the Ministry of Railways and the Ministry of Jal Shakti. With a long-standing career in Karnataka state politics, he has previously served as a member of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly and the Karnataka Legislative Council, holding various ministerial portfolios including Housing, Infrastructure Development, Horticulture, and Sericulture. Born in 1951, he has been a prominent political figure in Karnataka for several decades, having represented multiple parties throughout his career before joining the Bharatiya Janata Party.
