V. Vijayendra Prasad

V. Vijayendra Prasad is an Indian screenwriter and film director who has been a nominated member of the Rajya Sabha, the upper house of the Indian Parliament, since July 2022. Widely recognized as one of the most successful screenwriters in Indian cinema, he has a career spanning over three decades and is known for his frequent collaborations with his son, director S. S. Rajamouli. His notable filmography includes major commercial successes such as the Baahubali duology, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, and RRR. Prasad, who draws inspiration from Indian epics like the Mahabharata and Ramayana, has received numerous accolades, including the Nandi Award and the Filmfare Award for Best Story.
