Varsha Gaikwad

Varsha Eknath Gaikwad is an Indian politician currently serving as a Member of Parliament in the 18th Lok Sabha, representing the Mumbai North Central constituency. A member of the Indian National Congress, she previously served as a four-term Member of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly for the Dharavi constituency from 2004 to 2024. During her tenure in the state government, she held various cabinet positions, including Minister for School Education and Minister for Women and Child Development. She is a prominent Ambedkarite Buddhist leader and currently serves as the President of the Mumbai Regional Congress Committee.
