Нимченко, Василий Иванович

Vasyl Nimchenko is a Ukrainian politician and former judge who served as a People's Deputy of Ukraine for the 8th and 9th convocations. A retired judge of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine and a Major General of Justice in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, he previously held various judicial positions, including serving as a judge of the Supreme Court. Throughout his career, he has been associated with the Opposition Bloc and the Opposition Platform — For Life party. He is known for his legal background and his political opposition to certain post-2014 government policies regarding the sovereignty of eastern Ukrainian territories.
