Wendy Askew is an Australian politician serving as a Senator for Tasmania since 2019. A member of the Liberal Party, she was appointed to fill a casual vacancy and subsequently elected to the position. Before entering federal politics, she held various roles in the public and private sectors, including a long career in the banking industry and as a disability services manager. She also served as an adviser to several state and federal parliamentarians. Currently, she serves as the Chief Opposition Whip in the Senate and is affiliated with the National Right faction of the Liberal Party.
