Yeo Bee Yin is a Malaysian politician and field engineer who currently serves as the Member of Parliament for Puchong. A member of the Democratic Action Party (DAP), she previously served as the Minister of Energy, Science, Technology, Environment and Climate Change from 2018 to 2020. During her ministerial tenure, she was noted for her initiatives in renewable energy, including the implementation of a roadmap to eliminate single-use plastics and the promotion of solar energy through net energy metering. She holds an MPhil in Advanced Chemical Engineering from the University of Cambridge, earned as a Gates Cambridge Scholar.
