Yodchanan Wongsawat is a Thai academic and politician currently serving as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation. A former professor of biomedical engineering at Mahidol University, he specializes in brain-computer interfaces and neural engineering. He entered politics as a candidate for the Pheu Thai Party and was elected as a party-list Member of the House of Representatives in 2026. He is the son of former Prime Minister Somchai Wongsawat and is related to the Shinawatra family.
