Zahid Oruj is an Azerbaijani politician currently serving as a Member of the National Assembly of Azerbaijan, representing the First Khatai Constituency No 33. He acts as the Chairman of the Human Rights Committee and leads the working group for Azerbaijani-Mongolian interparliamentary relations. Since 2019, he has also served as the chairperson of the Azerbaijani Social Research Center. Previously associated with the Motherland Party from 1992 to 2013, Oruj is known for his pro-government stance and participated as a candidate in the 2018 presidential election.
