Rumen Georgiev Radev is a Bulgarian politician and former military officer currently serving as the Prime Minister of Bulgaria. Previously, he served as the President of Bulgaria from 2017 to 2026. A former major general and commander of the Bulgarian Air Force, Radev entered politics in 2016 and later founded the centre-left, populist party Progressive Bulgaria in 2026. His political career has been marked by an anti-corruption platform, as well as a pragmatic and often debated foreign policy stance regarding Russia and the European Union.
