Aída Quilcué

Aída Quilcué is a Colombian politician and indigenous civil leader who has served as a Senator of Colombia since 2022. A member of the Alternative Indigenous and Social Movement, she has a long history of activism within the Regional Indigenous Council of Cauca, where she became the first woman to serve as Senior Counselor. A prominent human rights defender, she has worked as a consultant for UNESCO and as an expert member of the United Nations Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues. In 2026, she was announced as a vice-presidential candidate.
