Aaron Kaufman

Aaron Kaufman is an American politician and disability rights advocate serving as a member of the Maryland House of Delegates for District 18. Born in 1987, he is the first member of the Maryland General Assembly with a physical disability. Before his election in 2023, Kaufman worked as an administrative assistant for the Maryland House Ways and Means Committee and as a senior manager of legislative affairs at the Jewish Federations of North America. In the legislature, he has focused on disability rights, including passing legislation for the right to repair motorized wheelchairs, as well as environmental and immigration policy.
