Abdul Ghafoor Haideri

Abdul Ghafoor Haideri is a Pakistani politician and Islamic scholar who currently serves as a Member of the National Assembly of Pakistan. A long-standing figure in the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) party, he has held various high-level positions, including serving as the Deputy Chairman of the Senate of Pakistan from 2015 to 2021. Throughout his career, Haideri has been a vocal advocate for the implementation of Islamic laws in Pakistan and has frequently engaged in national political movements, including the Movement for the Restoration of Democracy. He has survived multiple security threats, including an ISIL-claimed bombing in 2017, and remains an influential voice within his party's leadership.
