Abubakar Kyari is a Nigerian politician serving as the Minister of Agriculture and Food Security under President Bola Tinubu. Born in 1963, he previously represented Borno North Senatorial District from 2015 to 2022 and briefly served as the acting national chairman of the All Progressives Congress in 2023. Educated in Nigeria and the United States with degrees from the University of Tennessee, Martin and Webster University, he has also held positions in the House of Representatives and various state commissioner roles in Borno State.
