Adão de Almeida

Adão de Almeida is an Angolan politician, jurist, and university professor who currently serves as the President of the National Assembly of Angola, a position he assumed in November 2025. A member of the People's Movement for the Liberation of Angola (MPLA), he has held several high-level government roles, including Minister of State and Chief of the Civil House of the President from 2020 to 2025, and Minister of Territorial Administration and State Reform from 2017 to 2020. Prior to his executive career, he served as a member of the National Electoral Commission between 2005 and 2009. He has been a deputy in the National Assembly since 2017.
