Adam Bodnar is a Polish lawyer, academic, and politician currently serving as a member of the Senate of Poland. Previously, he held the position of Minister of Justice and Prosecutor General from 2023 to 2025. A prominent human rights activist, he served as the 7th Polish Ombudsman from 2015 to 2021, where he was noted for his advocacy regarding the rule of law, judicial independence, and the protection of minority rights. He holds a PhD and habilitation in law from the University of Warsaw and has taught at the SWPS University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
