Previously, he represented the 26th district in the Kansas House of Representatives from 2019 to 2025, where he notably served as vice chair of the House Education Committee during the 2021–2022 legislative session. Outside of his political career, Thomas works as a restaurant manager. Born in St. Charles, Missouri, and raised in Olathe, Kansas, he is an alumnus of Belmont University.
