Adrian Rurawhe

Adrian Rurawhe is a New Zealand politician who served as a Member of Parliament from 2014 to 2026. A member of the Labour Party, he represented the Te Tai Hauāuru electorate before transitioning to a list-only candidate in 2023. Rurawhe held the position of Speaker of the New Zealand House of Representatives from 2022 to 2023, becoming the second Māori to hold the office. Prior to his parliamentary career, he was the chairman of the Ngāti Apa iwi and worked in health and education. He retired from politics in February 2026.
