Adrian Sonder

Adrian Sonder is a German politician and the Lord Mayor of Freudenstadt, having assumed office in July 2024 after winning 60.1 percent of the vote. Before his election, he held various roles within the Christian Democratic Union (CDU), including serving as the state managing director for the CDU in Baden-Württemberg and working as a parliamentary aide. He holds degrees in social sciences from Sciences Po, economic history from Lund University, and a Master of Public Administration from the Hertie School. In 2026, he was also elected president of the Baden-Württemberg Forest Chamber.
