Afzal Ansari

Afzal Ansari is an Indian politician currently serving as a Member of Parliament in the Lok Sabha for the Ghazipur constituency in Uttar Pradesh. A veteran politician, he has served five terms as a Member of the Legislative Assembly and three terms as a Member of Parliament. Throughout his career, he has been associated with the Communist Party of India, the Samajwadi Party, and the Quami Ekta Dal, which he founded. Ansari has faced various legal challenges, including a brief disqualification from Parliament in 2023 following a criminal conviction, which was later suspended by the Supreme Court of India.
