Akeem Adeniyi Adeyemi

Akeem Adeniyi Adeyemi is a Nigerian politician and member of the Federal House of Representatives, representing the Afijio, Atiba, Oyo East, and Oyo West federal constituency under the All Progressives Congress. Born as the son of the late Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi III, he pursued his education at St Francis Nursery and Primary School, St Andrew Demonstration, Olivet Baptist High School, the University of Benin, and later earned a master's degree in Public Administration from the University of Abuja. Prior to his election to the National Assembly in 2015, he served as chairman and caretaker chairman of the Atiba Local Government Area. In the 10th National Assembly, he has held leadership positions including chairmanship of the House Committee on Agricultural Colleges and Institutions, as well as the House Committee on the South West Development Commission.
