Akinori Eto is a veteran Japanese politician serving as a member of the House of Representatives for his tenth term. A member of the Liberal Democratic Party, he has held significant government positions, including Minister of Defense and Minister of State for special missions, as well as serving as the Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Nuclear Issues. Eto is known for his conservative political stances, including support for constitutional reform and the exercise of the right to collective self-defense, while opposing the introduction of selective separate surnames for married couples. Before his political career, he worked in the social welfare sector, managing institutions under the Shoseikai foundation.
