Al Green

Al Green is an American politician and lawyer who served as the U.S. Representative for Texas's 9th congressional district from 2005 to 2026. Before his tenure in Congress, he served as a justice of the peace in Harris County, Texas, for nearly three decades. Throughout his legislative career, Green focused on fair housing, civil rights, and economic reform. He gained national attention for his repeated efforts to impeach President Donald Trump and for his vocal advocacy on social justice issues. Green left office in 2026 after losing a primary runoff election following redistricting.
