Sean Casten

Sean Casten is an American politician and businessman serving as the U.S. Representative for Illinois's 6th congressional district since 2019. Born in Dublin, Ireland, and raised in New York, he holds degrees in molecular biology and biochemical engineering. Before entering politics, Casten had a career in clean energy, founding Recycled Energy Development to focus on waste heat recovery. In Congress, he prioritizes climate change and energy policy, advocating for market-based environmental solutions and increased regulatory oversight of the energy sector. He is a member of the Financial Services Committee and has been a vocal supporter of abortion rights and voting reform.
