Elizabeth Velasco

Elizabeth Velasco is an American politician serving as a member of the Colorado House of Representatives for the 57th district. Elected in 2022, she is the first Mexican-born member of the Colorado House. Before entering politics, she worked as the CEO of Global Language Services and served as a public information officer during the Grizzly Creek Fire. Her professional background also includes experience in hotel management and food service. In the legislature, she has focused on issues such as wildfire management and animal welfare, notably co-sponsoring legislation regarding poultry depopulation methods.
