Alain Cadec

Alain Cadec is a French politician currently serving as a Senator for the Côtes-d'Armor department. Born in Saint-Brieuc in 1953, he began his political career as a municipal councillor in his hometown before serving as a Member of the European Parliament from 2009 to 2019, where he notably chaired the Committee on Fisheries. He also served as the president of the Côtes-d'Armor departmental council from 2015 to 2020. A member of The Republicans, Cadec has held various local and regional mandates throughout his career.
