Alan Dillon is an Irish politician and former professional Gaelic footballer who has served as a Teachta Dála (TD) for the Mayo constituency since 2020. In January 2025, he was appointed Minister of State at the Department of Enterprise, Tourism and Employment, with responsibility for small businesses and retail, as well as Minister of State at the Department of Climate, Energy and the Environment, focusing on the circular economy. Prior to his political career, Dillon was a celebrated athlete who captained the senior Mayo county football team and earned two All Star awards. He previously served as the chair of the Fine Gael parliamentary party from 2023 to 2024.
