Patrick O'Donovan

Patrick O'Donovan is an Irish Fine Gael politician who has served as the Minister for Culture, Communications and Sport since January 2025. A Teachta Dála (TD) for the Limerick County constituency since 2016, he previously represented the Limerick constituency from 2011 to 2016. Throughout his career, O'Donovan has held several ministerial roles, including Minister for Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science, and various Minister of State positions. Before entering national politics, he served on the Limerick County Council and worked as a primary school teacher and analytical chemist.
