Alan Powell

Alan Tinsley Powell is an American politician who has served as a member of the Georgia House of Representatives since 1991. Originally elected as a Democrat, he switched to the Republican Party in 2010, citing his conservative views. Representing District 33, which includes Hart, Franklin, and parts of Madison counties, Powell has chaired the Motor Vehicles and Public Safety Committee and served on the Board of Homeland Security. A strong advocate for the Second Amendment and pro-life policies, he also supported the Election Integrity Act of 2021.
