Рау, Альберт Павлович

Albert Rau is a Kazakhstani politician currently serving as the Deputy Chair of the Majilis of the Parliament of Kazakhstan. Born in 1960 to a family of Volga Germans, he began his career as an electrical engineer before transitioning into local administration, notably serving as the Akim of Akmola Region. Throughout his career, he has held various high-level government positions, including Vice-Minister for Investment and Development. Rau is recognized for his contributions to Kazakh-German cooperation and has received numerous state honors, including the Order of Barys.
