Albert Rupprecht

Albert Rupprecht is a German politician representing the Christian Social Union (CSU) who has served as a member of the Bundestag for the Weiden district since 2002. Throughout his parliamentary career, he has held significant roles, including serving as the spokesperson on education and research for the CDU/CSU parliamentary group and chairing the oversight body for the Special Financial Market Stabilization Funds. He has also participated in high-level coalition negotiations, including those following the 2017 federal elections. Beyond his legislative work, he serves on the supervisory board of Eckert & Ziegler and has maintained a conservative stance on social issues, notably voting against the introduction of same-sex marriage in 2017.
