Albulena Haxhiu

Albulena Haxhiu is a Kosovar politician who has served as the acting president of Kosovo since April 2026. A prominent member of the Vetëvendosje movement, she previously served as the Minister of Justice in the cabinets of Prime Minister Albin Kurti and held a long-standing tenure as a member of the Assembly of Kosovo. Haxhiu was elected as the Speaker of the Assembly in December 2025, a position that led to her assuming the acting presidency following the expiration of Vjosa Osmani's term. Throughout her career, she has been a central figure in Kosovar legislative politics, focusing on judicial reform and parliamentary procedure.
