Alejandro Murat Hinojosa is a Mexican politician currently serving as a Senator of the Republic since September 1, 2024. A lawyer by training, he previously served as the Governor of Oaxaca from 2016 to 2022 and as the Director General of INFONAVIT from 2012 to 2015. Earlier in his career, he was a federal deputy in the LIX Legislature and held various administrative roles in the State of Mexico. Originally affiliated with the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI), he joined the Morena party in 2024.
