Aleksandar Simonović

Aleksandar Simonović is a Serbian politician currently serving as the Mayor of Prokuplje. Born in 1978 in Novo Selo, he is an economist by profession. He began his political career as a member of the Democratic Party and later joined the Social Democratic Party before transitioning to the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS). Prior to his election as mayor in 2016, he served as a member of the municipal council for investments and projects and as the director of the public utility company Hameum.
