He served for many years in the Provincial Council of Bolzano and the Regional Council of Trentino-Alto Adige, representing various center-right parties. In 2013, he founded the regional movement 'L'Alto Adige nel cuore,' which later merged into Brothers of Italy in 2020. Currently, he serves as the regional coordinator for his party and as the President of the Commission of the Six, which oversees the implementation of the autonomy statute for the region.
