Alex Easton is a Northern Irish politician serving as the Member of Parliament for North Down since 2024. Previously, he served as a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) for North Down from 2003 to 2024. Originally a member of the Democratic Unionist Party (DUP), he resigned in 2021 citing concerns over party leadership and has since served as an independent unionist. Easton is known for his opposition to the Northern Ireland Protocol and a potential border poll. Before his political career, he worked as a clerical officer in the accident and emergency department at the Ulster Hospital.
