Alex Yam Ziming is a Singaporean politician who has served as the Mayor of the North West District since 2020. A member of the People's Action Party, he has represented the Marsiling–Yew Tee Group Representation Constituency as a Member of Parliament since 2015, having previously served the Chua Chu Kang constituency from 2011. Throughout his career, he has chaired various Government Parliamentary Committees, including those focused on Defence and Foreign Affairs, and National Development. Beyond his legislative duties, Yam is active in social and community service, holding leadership roles in the Chinese Development Assistance Council and the PAP Community Foundation. He is also a published author and an advocate for various social welfare and religious harmony initiatives.
