Alexander Luijten

Alexander Luijten is a Dutch politician and administrator currently serving as the Mayor of Heemskerk, a position he has held since December 2022. Before his appointment as mayor, he was a long-time member of the municipal council in Bussum and later in Gooise Meren, where he also served as an alderman. His professional background includes experience in the housing corporation sector as an organizational consultant and lobbyist. Luijten is a member of the People's Party for Freedom and Democracy (VVD).
