Alicja Zając is a Polish politician and social activist currently serving as a member of the Senate of Poland. Born in Wrocław, she graduated with a degree in biology from the University of Wrocław and worked in environmental protection for many years. She entered national politics in 2010 following the death of her husband, Senator Stanisław Zając, in the Smolensk air disaster. Since then, she has been repeatedly re-elected to the Senate, representing the Law and Justice party. Her career is also marked by extensive involvement with the Polish Red Cross, where she has served in leadership roles.
